Sangharsotthan works with rural/urban communities, disabled to rehabilitate them by enabling ownership over environment, institutions and communication. The organization has grown in terms of population coverage, geographical areas, multidimensional and varied development intervention supported through dynamic development strategies with prime focus over people living below poverty line, persons with disabilities, women and elderly. Sangharsotthan seeks to partner with and empower these groups to face the incongruities of their demanding home-land with the modernizing world.
Sangharsotthan operates to empower the rural/urban population to become helathy, self-reliant against growing challenges in survival. It also engages in programmers which promote independence and sustainability. with a special focus on persons with disability , women, children and high risk populations to create a more equal society.

A program on consumer awareness in Dabra of Gwalior district, in which information was given about earning maximum profit in this era of capitalism and globalization .
A program in Sheopur district to make people aware of the deteriorating environment in which people were encouraged to manage waste and more trees so that the environment could be improved.
The organization organized a science fair in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Children from 75 schools and the general public participated in it and people were made aware of the benefits and disadvantages
The institute organised a workshop on Biology in District shivpuri in which Bio informatics, a field which solves biological problems using computational techniques, was discussed.
The organization distributed books and other materials to children in Ghatigaon who cannot attend school due to poverty or any other reason, and made their parents aware to send their children to school.
The organization organized a health camp in Ghatigaon in which free treatment was provided to the people for any kind of eye-related problem.
